My Writing Process at its Fullest!!

So how do I write? Where does everything come from? Well to be very honest I just start from one small idea and expand on it later on. From what I understand writing is very tedious and a hard task to finish. I’ve been writing and taking English courses for about seven years now and I find that I still struggle with the same issue – outlining. Outlining makes me sick to my stomach and very scary to me because I fear that what I have planned will not look so pleasing to me once it is on paper, right in front of me. I remember this one huge project I had planned back in my senior year of high school that never came to fruition because the pandemic had stopped me in my tracks. I had planned to organize a march through Bushwick where everyone who took part could and can fight back against gentrification. I had saw that many different areas that I had once new had become non-existent and even now more places, people, and common landmarks have been replaced. So, when it came down to it, I had to take charge and write my heart out especially the outline. My school had planned to help me but even so I would have to organize the whole thing on my own with only resources provided to me. It even got to the point where I had to create my own fliers, get access to security and even getting in touch with a congresswoman. This issue led up to me basically favoring the stream of consciousness. To just write out every thought I had run through with anything and everything that I had in my mind. Outlining still and forever will be my worst experience to do when writing. But if you just get it down, it is not so bad. I let my stream of consciousness be my outline and just let writing be writing.
